Pickleball Court Construction in St. George

Slab specs, dimensions, orientation, and what a backyard court really costs.

St. George Is Pickleball Country

Washington County has one of the highest concentrations of pickleball players in America — the sport's national tournaments literally come here. Public courts fill up fast, and a backyard court has become one of the most-requested concrete projects in the area. The good news: at its core, a pickleball court is a precision concrete slab — and that's exactly the kind of work we do.

Court Dimensions

A 30′ × 60′ pad is 1,800 square feet — roughly the size of a three-car driveway. Measure your yard honestly before falling in love with the idea, and remember setbacks from walls and fences.

The Slab Is the Court

A pickleball ball is hard plastic; every imperfection in the surface shows up in the bounce. What separates a court-grade slab from ordinary flatwork:

Orientation and Extras

Run the court north–south. An east–west court puts the rising or setting desert sun directly in someone's eyes every morning and evening — the cheapest mistake to avoid and the most annoying one to live with.

What Does It Cost?

A backyard court is built from components — the court-grade concrete pad, acrylic sport surfacing with line striping, a net system, and optional fencing and lighting. Every yard prices differently: a flat, accessible lot is a very different job than a sloped one needing cut-and-fill, and pad size and extras move the number more than anything else.

The way to budget is a free on-site estimate — we'll measure what your yard fits and quote the pad (and phase in the extras if you want). Call (435) 610-7583.

Budget play: pour the court-grade slab now and add acrylic surfacing later. A properly finished concrete surface with taped or painted lines is absolutely playable while you phase the project.
